HERE IS A NEW MATERIAL THAT JUST CAME OUT OF CHINA AT TUCSON THIS PAST YEAR.  IT IS A GREEN COLOR WITH FINE  BLACK SPIDER WEB THROUGHOUT THE PIECE.  I AM LISTING THIS SLAB OF IT TOTALING 3.4 OUNCES IN WEIGHT.  THE COLOR IN THE PICTURES ON THESE PIECES IS APPROXIMATELY CORRECT!
I have never seen  a spider web jasper out of China but I guess it exists since I got it from my main wholesaler that I have dealt with for about 30 years.  I put a piece of  it in my 18" saw and slabed up a few slabs.  I also took the heel end and faced off and polished the end just to ensure that it takes a good polish.  It ground down and polished pretty fast and does take a fairly good polish.  It does have a few partial fractures to work around but is pretty much vug free. I am listing 1 slab off the hunk and it weighs a total of 3.4 ounces.  The dimension of the slab is about 5.5"x2"x 1/4" thick.  The colors of this slab is about the same as the color in the pictures show (kind of a medium green with black spider webs).   They were taken with natural sunlight through the window in my shop on a rainy day.  The slab should yield some nice cabs.  So I am going to list it at a starting bid of .99 which is a rediculously low price.  I don't think you will find a better deal anywhere for this new material.
Look at the pictures which were taken with the slab wet, then decide for yourself what it is worth.
I most likely will ship all my pieces USPS priority mail or by first class mail with tracking.
