40 grams of the best water web, acid web, and super matrix of all the Bell/Maisel collection - largely Kings Manassa, Blue Diamond, and Bibsee etc . This came from the old buckets of the Maisel and Bell Trading Posts and Sunbell on Route 66. I have 100 pounds of this that I will release to the public overtime. That’s it. Hand picked from the buckets that we purchased, originating from the Michelson family - that is the family that owned the famous Bell Trading Post on Rt 66 from the Great Depression (1932), all the way to 1979 when the company closed as “Sunbell”. They also bought out all scrap turquoise from Maisel in 1972, so some it can trace to that turquoise as well. It’s an incredible story, and it was an incredible find in the back of an old warehouse some ways outside of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Custody listed below.
On the technical side, some of this material will need backing to thicken it. It’s good solid material, it’s not paperthin. This is incredibly historic material. The actual turquoise that you are buying, and that you see pictured, comes from King Manessah, Morenci, Bisbee, the Lavender Smoky pit, Ithaca Peak, Kingman, and more. The beauty of this pound is that it will come completely sorted so even though you’re looking at the beautiful turquoise that you were actually going to buy, when you receive it it will be more exciting as each piece will be individually packaged and labeled. This is all gem quality, the highest grade of all the stabilized material that came from the old Bell Trading Post factory. It does not get any better than this, we hand picked a small amount of “water mark” like this for a friend, And felt inspired to make a few releases the best Bell turquoise - for the first time.
