Pictures are examples of the material, colors will vary - Satisfaction guaranteed or your money back. Period. (Material is stable.) A good portion of this material needs backing.
This is quality, American, stabilized Turquoise Scrap from the factories on Route 66 of Bell Trading Post, Sunbell corporation, and Maisel Indian trading Post. We can trace our custody and command directly back to these Companies! This collection is amazing. It includes some of the most rare Turquoise in the world!
THIS SALE IS FOR 50 grams Of Old Stock Scrap Turquoise - Good cutting sized rocks. All slabs and slices and nuggets from the scrap of Maisel Indian Trading Post, Bell Trading Post, and Sunbell - circa 1932-1980. There is Bisbee and Demale and all sorts of things mixed. Mostly scrap pieces from tiny dime sized scraps to a silver dollar size slabs and end cuts. Lots of gen quality nuggets too. ALL stable Kingman material was pro-stabilized by LW Hardy (some came tagged), and the rest of the stable was by Maisel or Bell/Sunbell. Clean color, matrix and solids, super hard, reliably stable turquoise scrap. Considered "smalls" but almost all of it is excellent size and already started for lapidary work, all regular Joe cutters love this stuff.
The colorings in this lot are gorgeous. The rock was stabilized by Maurice Maisel around 1965 or so. It is mostly Kingman from the 1970s with a mix of Orvil Jack, Bisbee, Morenci, Ithica Peak, Nevada 8, Mona Lisa and more. There is a large percentage that is Bisbee. Nothing is dyed or stained, no excessive amounts of host rock or dust, all 100% genuine washed and dried stabilized turquoise.
It’s phenomenal material but some of it requires backing. There is NOTHING about this rock that will disappoint you. This is worth buying and cutting. I can help you price your cabochons. If you purchase, I can identify 90% of the mines in your cuts going forward if you send pictures and ask. That’s how we do it. Long term customer service. We are also 100% sure you will love what you get. To be sure of that is our job.
