RimRock: WILD HORSE MAGNESITE Rough Slab
Description
This material comes from Southern Arizona and was mined near the Gila Wilderness area. It takes a high polish and is a 4 on the Mohs scale.
This piece is only 3/16" thick and is showing nice white patterns with
some pink
in the brown host rock. I may see a hairline fracture and a couple of healed fractures, but it's solid.
It measures, at its widest:
4-1/2" x 4-1/2" x 3/16"
Weight: 4.8 oz
Pictures were taken of each side with the slab wet, except for the picture with the tape measure, which was taken dry.
