Texas Plume Agate / transparency slab - for doublets.

Description

A thin slab (transparency) of Texas Plume Agate for making doublets. All you need is water clear epoxy 330 and a quartz cap.
Optional Step: once built, cut, polished and the epoxy has cured an additional step can be to reduce the thickness of the transparency on the back. This will reduce the depth of field between the plumes, the layers of plumes, making just the individual plumes stand out even more!
This material is not commercially available. If you don't go find it or get it from who found it, you won't be able to get it. An exceptional piece like this may require multiple hunting trips and hauling hundreds of pounds down out of the hills, looking for the outstanding pieces like this.
Dimensions: 3 mm thick, 4 1/2 inches across.
